New Admins!!
We have received two new admins for TCOF! They are @Harrypotter300ace and @Brooksvillechess! They both have well said why they would be good for the job, and have been accepted! They have convinced the SA's that they will assist this club. Let's hope they will help this club soon reach 1000 members!!! (Editors Note: Maybe that won't be too soon, but no harm hoping! )

Story Time with Tim
Hello there! This is Tim. And I write. SO, we are going to have a monthly segment where I post a story that I wrote! Since this is December, this months theme is Christmas. Enjoy!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Day Before Christmas
'Twas the day before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except one small mouse.
This Mouse’s name was not Despereaux, but he was the same size, or to you, at least close.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with haste, as eleven was past when they were set in place.
And the children much wanted dear Santa to come, small Johnny was hoping for a brand-new drum.
Our little mouse friend as you may have forgot, was sitting inside, and asleep, he was not.
He wanted to see Santa, and see him he did, but not with the results that he had wanted.
When Santa saw him not asleep in his bed, he moved his hand up and placed it on his head.
Poor Santa, just after that happened, he fell, and he hit the ground as the clock first struck twelve.
The mouse he ran over to Santa so swift, that he almost tripped over somebody’s new gift.
When Santa awoke just three minutes past, he had to explain to the mouse very fast,
“I don’t have much time to talk here, dear mouse, as I do have to get to the very next house.”
Then Santa explained to the mouse he was shy, and that to us all, will now explain why.
For Santa, with shyness, he must always wait, for no one to be up around when he came.
And this has explained, to you and to me, why we must go to bed to see gifts by the tree.
For if we were awake, Santa he would pass out, and this was explained to our dear little mouse.
Now dear children, when you find Christmas eve is upon you, you must go to bed, for Santa to find you.

Submissions From Members
Hello there! This is a NEW segment where we put stuff in the newspaper that YOU READERS sent to us! Here goes!
"There is a great endgame study to think about. It is White to mate in two against any defense:
White: Kf8, Rh1, pawn g6.
Black: Kh8, Bg8, pawns h7 and g7.
This puzzle is really hard and it was made by Morphy. I eventually solved it."

LIFE STORY TIME:
And now it's time for a mini-segment with a life story.
"My story was long time ago. Here it is.
I was a Character Actor in the Philippines in the 1960s before I came to the USA in July 1970. I won several Ballroom Dance competitions in the 1960s when I was still in the Philippines. I'm a retired Filipino-American living in the USA since 1970. You can visit my profile here at chess. com and my name in the Internet. Thank you all.

Best Christmas Songs?
Hello guys! There is an ongoing debate about WHICH CHRISTMAS SONGS ARE THE BEST? Well, it's time for me to share my honest (and most likely SUPER controversial) opinion on this topic. I will share the BEST THREE CHRISTMAS SONGS, in my opinion. (And maybe my least favorite, which SURELY y'all will agree on...)
#1: Light of Christmas, Owl City and Tobymac
Now, y'all have probably never even HEARD of this one. But honestly, it's great. Truly a banger. Here is a link to the song if y'all wanna listen to it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpCHpoflMAA
#2: The Chipmunk Song, Alvin and The Chipmunks
A true classic. A great Christmas song. Listen to it every Christmas. (Like actually) You have probably heard it, but here's the link.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdN_8OlJGs0
#3: It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, Michael Bublé
I had to include an actual Christmas song, and honestly, I love this song. (Actually a close tie to this is I'll be Home for Christmas, but I'll let this win.)
You definitely know this one, but I'll put the link anyways. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJ5DOWPGxwg
Least favorite song: White Christmas, sung by Mason Ramsey
Now, don't get me wrong. I LOVE WHITE CHRISTMAS. That's probably my fifth place song. BUT... It's just THIS RENDITION OF IT. I swear Mason Ramsey still looks EXACTLY THE SAME as he did when he was 10, and sounds like it also. HE IS 16!!!!!!!!! And THEN him going and singing THIS SONG, which REQUIRES a DEEP VOICE... O_________O Bro. His voice competes with a mouse's voice, for his age. (Not saying I have anything against people with high voices, I JUST DO WITH THEM SINGING WHITE CHRISTMAS "PROFESSIONALLY." O________O Sorry for the caps. XD Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC1d2lo4xcA
Aaaaaand, that was my opinion. Thanks for reading! Bye!

Hot Takes
Hello there! So, I have been working hard trying to think of more segments to add to the newspaper for y'all. And THEN, it hit me! Hot takes! To explain, my brother works on the news at my highschool. And one of the segments they have in that, is called Hot takes. Which is basically (literally) just opinions on something that A LOT OF PEOPLE WON'T AGREE WITH. Which is the point. And that is honestly one of the best segments in the news. SOOOOO...... Here we are. With "Tim's Hot Takes"
Owl City is underrated
Bengals > Steelers
Thanksgiving Food > Christmas Food
There. Now, normally I won't have all this flimflam about it, so it will be probably... Better. Will just have those somewhere in the news. Anyways, there ya go!
-ItsTimeForTim
And that's all for this edition! Thanks for reading, and we'll see ya next time! Merry Christmas!
