The Chess Country Club

I started this club in the midst of the pandemic with nothing to do. I wanted to have somewhat of a social life and decided that chess, something I have been learning for 5+ years would be and escape during this time of frustration. I made this club, not knowing what to expect, and it turned into what we have today. I would have never guessed any of this to happen to my life.

After the weeks became months, and the months of covid came to an end (finally!), I started to get busy with life and stress. I have met a lot of fresh people here that gave me a new perspective of the internet and chess itself.

Now for this club, I didn't really have a purpose or a goal for it. It was just something to keep me busy and to meet new friends. I got a bit carried away... starting new ideas on chess.com that in hindsight, were trash. 

I had recently thought about my digital footprint and it left me here. I laughed at the nostalgia from this place, and it something I see some potential in today. Since the 3 year anniversary, I am trying to make a sort of last minute impulsive action to maybe restore this club to have fun as a community and to boost our chess knowledge as a community. 

With that, I want to say thank you to whoever this may find, and to say I will try to make this community something again
