The club expanded

The club now allows everyone who on chess.com has crosses 1150 ever in any of the formats. Before it used to only allow players with highest peak ratings of all the formats being within 1200-1800. This is to improve the quality of the club and allow more members to join

The reason there is still requirement for 1150 is due to the differences in the ways of improvements. For beginners it is mostly learning some basic openings and endgames, learning some basic tactics and then practising by playing. However as the level of chess increases, the improvement becomes more strategic and studious requires dedicated training and study over mere playing and analyzing. This club for people to take and give help in improving as it gets more and difficult as we rise, and virtually impossible to improve without any other person's help, whether its direct communication of through any improvement resource like chess book, article, analysis, etc.
