The Club Has Decided: Name Openings!

The majority of the club had voted to name openings. Not every club member voted, and I thank the ones who did for their time and dedication to the club.

Just to be clear before I dive in, we will not be naming every opening. There are thousands of thousands of chess openings, and it would take a looong time to name them. So, for now, we will just be naming the most common openings.

To do that, I will host a thread callled Name the Opening (or Name the Variation). I will choose a random (nameless) opening and suggest names for it. You can either vote on one of the names or make up your own. Once those members who participated have decided what name the opening should be, I will announce it to the rest of the club.

This should happen every week, either on Wednesday or Sunday. I plan on naming about 10 openings with 2 or 3 variations, but I might decide to do more. Who knows?

This will be something you don't want to miss!
