The Dentist who killed Cecil

Walter Palmer smiled for the camera in 2006 after shooting the black Bear with a bow and arrow in Wisconsin,outside an authorised hunting zone.Prosecutors say he tried to hide the act by bribing guides with $20 thousand dollars but he was caught and admitted making false statements to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service.The shocking image was among photos in the case against Palmer,showing him knelling down behind the dead Bears body with his crossbow and arrows propped up against it.Another shows him standing next to the Bear which has been hung up by a noose.The case has strong echos of what is said to have happened to Cecil the Lion in Zimbabwe.The dentist is said to have shot Cecil with a Crossbow and arrow and then spent forty hours hunting him down untill the group finally killed him with a bullet and then beheaded him.Palmer has been an accomplished Crossbow huntger,killing big game around the world,including a Polar Bear,Buffalo and Deer.In september 2006 he had a permit to kill a Bear in one county of Wisconsin but he shot one forty miles away from where he was supposed to. The State Attorney told ABC news Palmer and his guides agreed they would lie about an aggressive cover up.The guides eventually told the truth and Palmer admitted charges of making false statements and he was fined nearly three thousand dollars.
