The Legal Trap
Hey Guys,
Sorry I have been away. I have found time this weekend to make a post that I have been wanting to post for a bit. This is known as, the "Legal Trap". Properly, there's an accent aigu over the "e", but oh well.
Generally this trap can found in the Bishop's opening, or Italian Game. For explanation purposes, I will use the Italian Game below:
Now here's an actual game I have played using this trap:
You may be saying, "Hey that isn't the trap", but in principle it's there. The opening is different, but what makes this trap so deadly is the free Queen exchange for checkmate. I wanted to show this game because this trap I find harder to pull off than the Fishing Pole, and this game isn't necessarily the same move order, thus making it harder to read. Learning how to take the principles of a trap, and make them work universally for the same purpose is how we evolve these traps.
