The St. Catherine Open 2023

The St. Catherine Open 2023 will have three sections and be played OTB (Over-The-Board) at St. Catherine High School, 35 St John's Rd, Spanish Town, St. Catherine, Jamaica. 

FIDE Open Section: Starts Thursday April 20th with Round 1 at 6pm, Friday April 21st  with Round 2, at 6pm,,  Saturday, April 22nd to 23rd, 2023 at 9:00am 

Time Control: Game in 90 minutes + 30 seconds Increment from move 1 (6 Rounds)
Saturday 2 Rounds, Sunday 2 Rounds.

Intermediate Section (FIDE Under 1600):  Saturday,  April 22nd to 23rd, 2023    at 9:00AM
Time Control: Game in 40 minutes + 30 seconds Increment from move 1 (6 Rounds)

Amateur Sections (FIDE Under 1300 ABS & FEM):  Saturday,  April 22nd , 2023 at 9:00AM (One day*)
Time Control: Game in 30 minutes + 30 seconds Increment from move 1 (5 Rounds*)
(If there are too few rated players then the sections will be merged, and if the number of players are over 50 then 6 rounds will be played over 2 days.
