Hey all. For those of you willing to travel to Victoria for the love of chess, there will be another CFC-rated tournament taking place November 17-19. The Jack Taylor Memorial is a great tournament, as the prize fund is subsidized by the Taylor family, allowing for low entry fees. If you register today (Oct. 16) the fee is only $40 and increases only slightly thereafter.

This is also a good one for older players or players hoping to substantially improve their ratings, since the number of under-rated juniors participating is typically low.

Details courtesy of the tournament website:

When: Nov 17-19, 2017

Where:   Royal Scot Hotel and Suites, 425 Quebec St. Victoria BC.   (Downtown Victoria at the Inner Harbour)
