Time Out Ratios in USTCL Play

I have previously mentioned that I will be paying closer attention to time out ratios for the upcoming 2023-2024 USTCL season. League rules allow for team admins to remove any participants with a time out ratio exceeding 15%.  The purpose of this league rule is to allow admins to mitigate the number of individual match losses due to time outs.  In other words, those with a history of time outs can be temporarily "benched" pending improvement of their ratio before future matches.

Because this is a discretionary rule, I'm not going to remove anyone yet, but I will be reaching out to those of you who are signed up for any USTCL matches, if your all time daily chess time out ratio exceeds 15%. The keys to success in league play are maximum participation from all members, and no time outs, so join and fulfill your commitment to play.
