Today's 10 minutes VOTE CHESS game and some more news

Challenge for our today’s 10 min. vote chess game vs NO PASARAN is accepted now and the game will start at 08:00 UTC / 09:00 CET. You can join the game now (https://www.chess.com/votechess/game/244483) and we’ll have some time to prepare our team work. Does someone like to moderate our discussion? Does someone feel ready to remind all others, that it is time to vote now and which our options are?

As we’re playing with the black pieces, we should decide, which general opening idea we're going for and after we know their first move (at 09:10 CET) which opening move we like to play. It sounds reasonable to take as much time as possible to discuss, e.g. until 9:17 CET, reserving votes to the last three minutes and to discussed moves only. From 09:20 until 09:30 CET we’ll have to wait for the second move of our opponent: We’re of course free to assume one or two candidate moves from their side and start already our discussion, what to play if this will be their choice.

Please note: If you’ve any idea for a move, please propose it in the discussion. Please don’t vote for any move, which has not been discussed. Please do your best to make our conversation as positive as any possible. To keep comments update, please refresh your screen and read them before posting. Please don’t use any assistance from others (and of course never from any kind of engines). If you want to take a break, don’t leave formally the vote chess game (once you’ll have done this, you can’t rejoin the game). Yesterday Chess.com has aborted the ONE WORLD League January BLITZ (2 hours) Arena right at its start due to server problems – with more than 30 players waiting.
