Rapid Chess Tournament

Dear Silverdale Chess Club Friend,
Last week, twenty-two players kicked off the first two rounds of the very first Silverdale Chess Club Rapid Chess Tournament.
On board one was Northwest Chess legend, Victor Pupols, a USCF Life Master.
Currently in the lead with a perfect 2-0 score is Jonathan Molod, a chess expert who represented the country of Guam in the World Chess Olympiad.
Tomorrow, Saturday, November 9, the action continues! If you haven’t yet joined, or know someone who would like to play, it’s not too late to pick up two half-point byes before the third round begins at 2:40 PM.

Sections
Premiere — All players with a USCF or Northwest Chess rating over 1500.
Challenger — All players with a a USCF or Northwest Chess rating between 900-1500
Junior — All players under the age of 14 and rated below 1400.
Rounds
Six rounds in all will be played, Two rounds to be played each Saturday. Rounds will start of 2:45 sharp., A half-point bye per round will be offered to those who could not attend Nov 2nd.
Time Limits
Premiere and Challenger sections: 15 minutes per side on the chess clock
Junior section: 15 minutes per side with or without a chess clock. If approx. time limit is reached without a clock, a clock my be added for the remainder of the game
at 10 minutes a side.
Ratings
This is an unrated event. No USCF (US Chess) or Northwest Chess dues required.

The Silverdale Chess Club meets on Saturdays from 2:30-4:30 at the Silverdale Library, 3650 NW Anderson Hill Rd, Suite 101, Silverdale, WA 98383
