Tournament on Aug. 14 to benefit pediatric cancer research

This announcement is to alert you to an online chess tournament fundraiser to benefit pediatric cancer research in conjunction with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. All money raised from this event will be donated to the Cincinnati Children’s Cancer Care and Research Fund. The tournament will be played on chess.com on Sunday, August 14, beginning at 12:00 noon Eastern time. There will be five rounds with a time control of G10/0, in three sections: U600, U1000, Championship. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each section. Tournament eligibility and pairings will be based on chess.com Rapid ratings.

The entry fee is $10. Donations to the fundraiser in addition to or instead of entry are welcome.
