Tournament Tuesday Continues

**UPDATE - The rapid tourney will now occur on the third Tuesday of the month rather than the fourth. **

Hey all. Tournament Tuesdays will continue in the coming months, as we try to make in-club live tournaments a regular thing! Starting this week, there will be a live chess tournament every Tuesday evening. Make friends! Defeat rivals! Let's continue to grow the chess scene in our great city.

So far it seems blitz (3m + 2s) is much more popular than rapid (15m + 2s), so we'll run with three blitz and only one rapid tourney per month. We can also consider making the rapid time control a bit shorter, if people want (e.g. 15m without increment or 10m + 10s). If most people find that 9pm start time for blitz is too late, we can consider changing it to 8 or 8:30pm. Please leave your preferences and/or any suggestions in the comments.

Sept-October tentative schedule:

Sept 12 - Blitz @ 9pm

Sept 19 - Rapid @ 8pm

Sept. 26 - Blitz @ 9pm

Oct. 3 - Blitz @ 9pm

Oct. 10 - Blitz @ 9pm

Oct. 17 - Rapid @ 8pm

Oct. 24 - Blitz @ 9pm

In order to play in a club tournament, you must sign up within one hour of the tournament start time (e.g. if it starts at 9pm, you must sign up any time between 8:00-8:59pm).
