Giri, Vaishali Take the Win

GM Anish Giri and GM Vaishali Rameshbabu have been declared winners of the entire competition. After a slow, drawn out game, Giri defeated American GM Hans Niemann for the 90,000 top prize; meanwhile,  Remeshbabu drew against GM Tan Zhongyi, winning the women's section for the second year in a row.

Maghsoodloo Shines While Gukesh Stumbles:

GM Parham Maghsoodloo has taken the lead in the competition, leading into the only rest day. Meanwhile, D. Gukesh is struggling with a 2-game losing streak.

Gukesh Draws with 14-y.o.

GM D. Gukesh missed a win and drew against a 14-yo Turkish chess prodigy in the third round of the competition.

Hans Niemann Beats Pragg in round 10

American grandmaster Hans Niemann has defeated Indian Grandmaster Praggnanandhaa R. in the 10th round to the competition.

Five Way Tie for First Leading into Round 11

German GM Matthias Bluebaum, French GM Alireza Firouzia, Dutch GM Anish Giri, American GM Hans Niemann, and German GM Vincent Keymer are all tied for first place, with 7 pts each.

Women's Section Has 2-way Tie

Indian GM Vaishali Rameshbabu and Russian GM Kateryna Lagno are tied for first place, each with 7.5 pts., in the 10th round of the competition.
