Trophy Hunting
I know, I know.
I've done a previous post about trophy hunting. However, while researching to write a letter to a senator about trophy hunting, I have learned more. Now, here are some trophy hunting vocabulary:
Trophy Hunts: Trophy hunting is when an animal is killed for a prize, such as money, glory, or an animal's body part (teeth, pelage, tusk, etc.)
Canned Hunts: canned hunts are when trophy hunting is rigged for the hunter to easily win, such as trapping the animal going to be trophy hunted in an enclosed space. Canned hunts normally occur in places where the animals are raised and bred to be killed. A canned hunt is a type of trophy hunt.
Here is a graph I found of animals who live in the United States and who are being trophy hunted:
How to help these animals: Write world leaders and urge them to create laws to help these animals.
