Unlock Endgame Mastery: Learn the Art of Transitioning from Equal Positions
Dear Chess Friends!
Every serious game has a point at which the players' positions level out, the exchanges start, and they both start to move toward the endgame. However, not every transition is made equally. In fact, even when the material is balanced, how you approach the endgame can affect the outcome.
In my next workshop, "Transitioning to the Endgame in Equal Material," we will explore how skilled players use this stage of the game to accomplish strategic objectives, such as gaining a slight advantage, eliminating threat pieces, or reorienting the position to their advantage.
🗓 Date: 05/25
⏰ Time: 11 a.m. EDT, 4 p.m. UK time, 5 p.m. CET
During this session, you’ll learn:
- How to transition to an endgame to realize a small advantage
- When to exchange queens to eliminate perpetual threats
- Why exchanging the right defenders can create a winning imbalance
- How to shift the focus from attack to king activity and pawn play
- What exchanges to avoid when you're defending and trying to hold
Why should you attend?
Only few players understand how to switch between middlegames and endgames at the appropriate time, even though many are proficient in both. This workshop will equip you with the skills to envision the final scenario in advance and reshape the situation to your advantage before you even reach it.
