Upcoming Group Changes!
Some may have noticed that I've been experimenting with the group's theme over the last few days. This is because a big change is coming on Sunday the 19th of January! Invitations will resume and many advertisements will be posted! I'm notifying everyone now as I don't want to spring a jarring change on you. D:
For more information on what the changes will entail, please read this tirade:
When I started Tirades and Vendettas nearly a decade ago I had a passion for debating. I craved getting to the bottom of things whether it be by proving myself right or being proved wrong in an adversarial format. My vision for Tirades became reality quite quickly with member milestones from 100 to 1000 broken in short order and forum/note activity skyrocketing. Then V3 came along and, as far as I was concerned, put an end to it. The intuitive user interface was overhauled in its entirety to favour an impersonal Mobile App style. Requiring a suitable interface to run this group, I put things on hold until the situation improved, but it never did.
However, I changed too. Two years ago I put my simple life aside to do a Master's Degree. Not content to do less than my best I put everything I had into it. I didn't get much back. To put it simply, I had a real lust for life once upon a time; reality was my main interest and I couldn't get enough of it. But over the last few years I have been so beaten down by reality that I find myself shrinking further and further away from it in favour of more forgiving lands. I mean of course, stories:
A narrative or story is an account of a series of related events, experiences, or the like, whether true or fictitious.
The fact is that I can only make something successful if I have real passion for it, so the group's new format will be concerned with narratives - fictional or non-fiction, Mythological or Heroic, Spiritual or Supernatural, Truth or Propaganda, Sci-Fi or Historical, Dystopian or Utopian - it will be a group for writers, readers, talkers, and/or hearers! I'm sure that you can guess the new name so I won't state the obvious. d:
I hope that this change interests you. Although I have lost the passion for debating I once had I never lost my passion for this group and its loyal members! Indeed, whether an active member, previously active, or part of the silent majority, you are all Tiraders.
