Upcoming Physical Club Events

Hi DCC Online,

Tonight is the final round of the DCC Club Championship held in Umbilo, Durban. Good luck to everyone playing.

Next week there will be a friendly blitz event (19th June), followed by a recess until the 24th July.

The second swiss will start on the 31st July, with registration for that event on the 24th July. The second swiss will be the final major club event for the year, and the club will close for the year on the 9th October, when the agm will be held. There is also a friendly blitz event on the evening of the 24th July.

I am still looking for people to help the club online, since I do not have time to run events here myself. I have asked the DCC committee to see if there are volunteers at the physical club to do so. If you would like to try to help online, and can commit time, please message myself and I will contact our club rep for Chess.com, as well as the physical DCC committee.

Otherwise, for those of you trying to improve (and get your rating higher), the facilities on this site are excellent. With a subscription, you can get access to game reviews from the AI helper, many courses on openings, the middle game, end games, tactics, mating nets, positional play, and multiple puzzles. For myself, all of these things have helped me improve.
