Update: Current Work In Progress For Clubs

Hello club admins, we wanted to share an update on current work that supports you. We have a set of tickets prioritized for a "sprint" that's in progress this fall and early winter. This is a set of fixes and a couple of improvements that we are tackling now based on your feedback. Here is our list of active tickets that are either currently being worked on or are queued for work shortly.

• Events settings for newly created clubs will be on by default. (DONE)
• The sorting for "Current Events" breaks after page one. (FIXED)
• Incoming Daily Match and Multi-Club Arena challenges were shown as outgoing. (FIXED)
• When comments on forums are locked, an erroneous account activation error is shown. (FIXED)
• In seeks/challenges for custom position matches, the board position is not shown. (IN PROGRESS)
• In seeks, challenging clubs are not linked. (FIXED)
• The "View" button for incoming/outgoing challenges redirects to a completed event. (FIXED)
• Admins in multiple clubs cannot create/accept vote chess challenges between two clubs they admin. (FIXED)
• Add tournaments you directed to "My Tournaments". (ON HOLD)
• There is work being done to improve toaster notifications that will address clubs. (IN PROGRESS)
• Multi-Club Arenas with more than six clubs may miss some clubs. (FIXED)
• Some Multi-Club Arena challenges may break. (FIXED)
• Multiple Incoming/Outgoing Challenges for Multi-Club Arenas are incorrectly displayed. (FIXED)
• The Multi-Club Arena results page lacks club standings (DONE)
• Daily Match Modal to be updated. (Will share designs for feedback soon.) (DONE)
• Finally, I would note that support is currently working on building a dedicated queue and improved documentation to better support clubs and club admins. (DONE)

We hope to have these tickets done by the end of the year.

We've also released several features/improvements recently based on various requests and feedback.

• Custom clubs sidebar added.
• Updated club description height.
• Report spam option changed.
• Trusted Accounts (Major club and league admins.) are exempt from automutes.

Naturally, we have a lot of additional outstanding issues or improvements that you want, and we want as well. In 2025, we will be assessing next steps on these issues. Our longer-term goal is to address as many pain points as possible for club admins, significantly improve your quality of life, and achieve a stable product. At the same time, we are working to be more focused in our product development cycles, and we have some priorities already queued early in 2025. We can't at this time guarantee a timeline for the next phase of development.

We know that we have made mistakes with big impacts on club admins, and we are sorry for that. We are making our best effort to address these issues and to be more transparent and communicative. As we do this, we want your feedback and welcome discussion! We really appreciate all of the exciting events that you run, and you are a vital part of our community. We do ask that feedback be criticism be constructive and in good faith.
