Season 3 of the US State League Championship is about to start. Our first challenge will go out to Idaho on July 4th and we will be locking in teams on the 15th. For those of you who are new since last year. Playing in this US State league is the primary activity of this group. I encourage you to watch for the match notices and sign up. This year there are more states participating. I think something like 22. The competition has been split up into 4 divisions, we are in division 4. Below is the message sent out to all division 4 team administrators. Take a look to find out details about the rules for the competition, schedule for the season, and to find out which other teams are in our division. Go Utah!

US Chess League State Competition Season 3 Division 4

SpiritThe US Chess League is an interstate competition between teams representing the 50 States of the US. While every team is encouraged to motivate their teams to do their best the League also intends to help teams to grow in size and become more ative drawing from players in their state. As teams use different criteria in terms of membership eligibility admins are asked to inform their teams about the nature of the competition and discourage members with no-state ties from joining. We have never had issues in the past so we are confident that this won't be any different this year. In case of disputes or questions, contact the admin of your opposing team first then the Chess League admins rather than commenting publicly.
