WCL 2019 Final Standings

The World Cities League of 2019 is complete, thanks to all players who took part and I hope it was enjoyable to test yourselves on the world stage as representatives of Sheffield!

We placed 5th in Division 4D, a solid mid-table. The final standings and our result vs each team were as follows:

1. Lviv 9/9 lost 13.5 - 0.5

2. Yekaterinburg 7/9 lost 12.5 - 3.5

3. Dhaka 7/9 lost 13.5 - 2.5

4. Bradford 6/9 lost 7.5 - 4.5

5. Sheffield 5/9

6. Levice 4/9 won 6 - 4

7. Lleida 3/9 won 6 - 0

8. Aktau 2.5/9 won 8.5 - 3.5

9. Napoli 1.5/9 won 11.5 - 4.5

10. Cancun 0/9 (withdrew) won 1.5 - 0.5

Team Lviv gained promotion to Division 3 with a 100% record, congrats to them. Some good wins and some painful defeats for us. Thanks once again for your participation and good luck in your games in the 2020 season. Let's see if we can improve on the 2019 season 👍
