Week 8 Rapid at 10 AM EST Saturday

We approach Week 8 of LCT's first season, and the title is still up for grabs. I hold the lead right now by a mere forty LCT points, and as we head into the first Rapid week, the standings could get a major shakedown. The time control for Week 8 is 15|10, and the tournament will start at 10:00 EDT / 14:00 UTC / 7:00 PDT / 19:30 IST.  It's a Swiss tournament format, with five rounds. The Rapid time control awards a massive 10 points for every win, plus 2 points for every game played, so this is a great opportunity to pick up some quick points, even if you haven't played a whole lot in the tournament so far. In addition to that, there will be 50 points awarded to first place, 25 to second, 15 to third, 10 to fourth and fifth, and 5 to sixth through tenth place. The winner of this tournament could take home a cool 100 points, making massive moves in the standings!
