Weekend Chess

Hello US Chess. It has been a long drought of slow competition, but I am happy to tell you that the drought is over. 

This weekend we will see LCPAL action vs Bolivia, and LCWL competition with France. Not only that, but we will also see Bullet, Blitz and Rapid. There is competition in everyone's wheelhouse.

All matches are on Saturday. We will begin competition with a LCWL Bullet match vs Team France at 12:00pm Pacific/3:00pm Eastern. This will be immediately followed by the Blitz leg at 12:25pm Pacific/3:25pm Eastern. The Rapid Leg begins at 1:00pm Pacific/4:00pm Eastern. After a short break we will see Bolivia in LCPAL competition in a Rapid match beginning at 3:01pm Pacific/6:01pm Eastern. The links are posted below.

I hope that you are as excited as I am about the uptick in competition going forward. If we expect, and I certainly do, to win, all of us must show up, after all, International Chess competition is the very reason we are here. I have been doing this now for a couple of seasons, and my chess skills pale to the talent we have in the pool, so I seldom get a board. Even so, I get to see some of the finest chess around and cheer the boards that do compete. Sometimes I do get a board, I stink the place up, but I enjoy this game, and it is always worth it. Set aside the afternoon Saturday and I will see you there.
