Word of the Day

Castle - to move the king to a safe position by moving it two squares towards the rook, then the rook is moved to the square, which the king skipped. The notation 0-0 for kingside castling was  introduced in 1811 and the queenside, 0-0-0, in 1837.

The Gift of Chess - aims to increase access to the physical chess set. They originally started in NYC. Now, they have distributed chess sets to underserved communities across the world.
