Welcome to PCC 2025!
Hello everybody! I apologize for the relative quiet nature of the club this last couple of weeks!
We have a lot of big plans coming up for the online portion of the club and Phoenix Chess moving forward! We first want to thank everybody for your continued support, with over 1.1k followers on Instagram and 160 members in our Chess.com Club. It means the world to us when you participate either in-person or online, and we will continue to try to advocate and grow chess in the Valley!
Our schedule for online events for the next quarter will be as follows:
Sunday 7 pm - Sunday Night Blitz. 90 Minutes of 5+0 action with a winner take all, and small prizes for those who can reach the top!
Wednesday 7 pm - Wednesday Night Swiss. Multiple rounds of 3+2 in a Swiss Style format to determine who is quick on the mouse and sharp in the mind!
Every other Saturday 6 pm - USCF-Rated Blitz in the Phoenix Chess Club-USCF Rated. This is an online blitz rating that our members who are also USCF members can participate in! Please reach out to myself or dhart929 with questions and your first/last name and USCF ID to be added to this club!
Other Ongoing Tasks!
Daily Matches - I will start searching for 1-2 matches each week for y'all to participate in with other clubs. We hope that we get excellent involvement from y'all, and I will work on getting us in some of these inter-club leagues that are going on Chess.com
Club Improvements - We always seek your feedback on how we can improve. Please let me know personally via DM or on the Announcements what we are missing and what you would like to see.
Club Support - We have forged a partnership with Chess.com which allows for us to help our members. If you use the referral code in the Description of the club and then upgrade your Chess.com membership, we will receive some portion of that upgrade, and we can use it to put on more events for everybody!
