Wesley earns 2011 World Cup trip!

Placing second to Ni Hua by posting 6.5 pts, Wesley So qualifies to the 2011 World Cup along with Gupta, Le Quang Liem and Zhou Jianchao. Ni posted 7 pts by closing the last round with a draw with Gupta, while So also agreed to a truce with Zhou.

Le had to endure a gruelling battle with Ding Liren before squeezing a hard-earned win.

The four players posted identical 6.5 pts to avoid any playoff matches.
