This was captured in Kasenyi plains of Uganda. A young lion cub resting in the branches of a large euphorbia just before the sunset. This remains one of the most endangered populations of lions anywhere in Africa. The 2 biggest threats to lions across their African range are the setting of wire snares (which catch lions and prey) and conflict with cattle farmers who kill lions when they eat their cows. If we can stop these two threats lions can bounce back across most of their current range. Photo By Alexbraczkowski
