Dear Silverdale Chess Club Members, Families and Friends,
Next week we’ll be welcoming Sofia Byelashova back from her Isle of Wight, "take no prisoners,” undefeated, 7-0 run! We’ll have celebratory cupcakes from Bella Bella Bakery, sparklers, and possibly a surprise visit from a Grandmaster!
This week our colleagues from the Gig Harbor Chess Club will be going up against the best of Victoria BC in a U.S.A. vs. Canada match. Speaking of city-v- city matches, I think it's about time the Silverdale Chess Club challenged those Gig Harbor pawn pusher in a Club team match. Who’s with me?
This week, while chess battles are playing out over the board, there will be another chess contest going on at the demo board. We will be posting real world positions for you to “”Play and Win.” Don't think of them as puzzles. These are positions that can easily arise in your games.You need to know them!. Solvers will win real prizes!
