Why USCF?

I want to say thanks to Johan Fjeld with CHESS CORE and all of those who help him run the tournaments. We appreciate the opportunity for USCF tournament chess.
For those who have messaged me either on here, or chesscom asking what is the difference, or is it worth it? Yes, of course it is worth it. Tournament chess is similar to competing in a sports game. It challenges you to think harder and perform at a higher level. You are also in an environment you can think and focus entirely on the game. The last and probably most important factor, is you know your opponent is not cheating. No matter what the online platforms claim, not every cheater online gets caught.
I analyzed one of my tournament games from today and it showed my opponent played at a 2200 level and I played at a 2600 level. He is rated around 1100-1250 USCF, I am rated around 950 USCF. I assure you neither of us had Stockfish or anything else. Tournament chess is just a different beast all together. It brings out the best and the worst in your chess.
So if you did not enter this tournament, I encourage you to enter the next. You may be the king of bullet online, but enter a tournament and see how you do against the 800 USCF rated kid in a G30.
