World league rules

WL BASIC PRINCIPLES AND RULES

The World League is the international league of countries playing team matches on Chess.com. Countries battle it out in fierce competition, with an internal ranking system and divisions.

The World League's main goal is to provide fun and a different concept of global competition to all the participants at Chess.com.

All Chess.com members are entitled to join the World League representing one Country, it is up to them to choose which one they represent. Team Leaders may not withhold this right from them and it is strictly forbidden to set any kind of restrictions to improve the Team potential at their convenience.  

Only one team per Country / Region is allowed to join the World League.

Detailed Instructions, Pairings and Tournament Format will be defined and messaged every round to the World League Head-Quarters members. Therefore, at least two representative active members per Team are required to be part of that group at anytime.

The World League is fully in line with the Chess.com’s Rules and Terms of Service and they are applicable to all the participants in the same conditions.
