Biography:
Tani is a ten year old boy who now lives in New York. But he did not always live their. He was born in Nigeria in a Christian family. After experiencing persecution by the Boko Haram they moved to New York where they lived in a homeless shelter. Tani learned how to play chess in school and got quite good. After winning the New York State K-3 Championship he did not immediately catapult to fame. He only did after he appeared in the New York Times and El País.
Since then he has won multiple large tournaments been given scholarships by multiple elite schools, a six digit bank account and best a home. They have decided to use their money for charities and their church. Since then he has founded his own charity and written a book(You should think about buying it it's great)!
He has played in multiple matches for Chesskid.com such as the Chesskid Speed Chess Championship The UK vs. USA Rising Stars match vs. Tani a match against Chesskids FunMasterMike and more.
He has beaten Hikaru and many other top players!
He just became an NM a little over a week ago and soon after that was on TV. Here is what he said about it. "It feels very wonderful; it feels very good. I've been trying to get it for some time now, since the pandemic, so it feels very relieving to finally get the title" He won it in the Fairfield County Chess Club Championship.
