The 1956 Olympiads

Julio Bolbochan (1920-1996) was an Argentine Champion in 1946 and 1948. He was awarded the International Master title in 1955 and became Grandmaster in 1977. He played in six Olympiads and qualified for three interzonals. The following game is from the 1956 Olympiads, where he defeated the Czechoslovakian Grandmaster Ludek Pachman (1924-2003). Bolbochan put an end to all negotiations with a violent Queen sacrifice on move 22.
