The Quiet Route

Here is a game from the 2009 German Championship, IM Beikert - IM Wippermann with full commentary and annotations:

In this game we saw white take a quiet approach in combating the Sicilian which is known to be a very dangerous opening choice for white to face. With the early 5. Be2 and 6. Nb3 white avoided any sharp theoretical battles where black's opening preparation before the game may have made the difference. Sometimes the quiet approach may be the best approach!
