A Work of Art
William Henry Pollock from England (1859-1896) was a player of International Master strength and Irish Champion in 1885 and 1886. He played the Black pieces against Max Weiss (1857-1927) in a game that will forever be classified as a work of art, it has the attributes of a surprise move, a Queen and Rook sacrifice, a King chase, and finally, a simple Mate. The event took place in 1896 in New York.
