Akobian Versus The World

Grandmaster Varuzhan Akobian is currently one of the United States' highest ranked chess players. He became an IM at the age of 16 and a GM at the age of 20. Akobian has won three World Opens, played for the U.S. in two Chess Olympiads, and qualified for the 2007 Chess World Cup. In addition, he has appeared on MTV.

Recently, Akobian played a highly entertaining match against the world. The game ended in a draw after the world team sacrificed its queen to force a perpetual check. You can read more about the match here.
