Chess Played Quick (CPQ) is Chess.com's series of events where top chess streamers complete bounties for prizes. This special edition is celebrating our new Luka Dončić bot, check out our announcement for more information: https://www.chess.com/news/view/play-luk-ai-bot-chesscom.

The Chess Played Quick - Luk.AI Plays edition happens on February 20 at 9 a.m. PT/18:00 CET. Streamers will race against a three-hour clock and try to beat their favorite bots while completing challenges. The event features 2,000 Twitch subs as the prize fund.

Format

This edition of CPQ features a new "play" format, where challenges have a particular logical order based on basketball plays. Players can (but don't have to) follow that order.

Paths Format

  • Bounties are presented in the form of "plays".
  • Each play contains eight challenges that follow a logical order.
  • Players don't need to follow the order of the paths to claim a path, but they do need to complete every challenge.
  • Players earn one point for completing each challenge and an extra five points for every play they finish.

Plays Rules And Details

  • Players can compete on a new account, a previous CPQ account, or their main account. Note that the bot crown progress will be reset on that account before the event starts.
  • There are four different plays, each with eight challenges.
  • Players must fill out the proof submission form to claim their prizes within 48 hours after the end of the event.
  • Any type of proof is acceptable as long as it clearly shows the bounty is completed.
  • Unless otherwise stated, all bots should be played in challenge mode with the default time control, and players can choose whichever color they wish.

Prizes

The event features a 2,000 Twitch subs prize fund. The sub value of each point is determined by the number of total available subs (2,000) divided by the number of total points claimed by all participants. Participants are then rewarded according to the number of points they accumulate.
