Chess Played Quick Endgames Edition: All The Information
Chess Played Quick is a monthly event where streamers do live speed runs using Chess.com's features.
Chess Played Quick: Endgames Edition is happening this month on February 18, starting at 9 a.m. PST/18:00 CET. The event will feature top streamers completing the endgame challenges on our Endgames page. Participants will have two hours to set their best endgame records on the 29 available challenges and compete for their share of the $10,000 prize fund.
Broadcast
You can watch the event live on Chess.com/TV or on our Twitch and YouTube channels. Make sure you tune in to enjoy the show, with expert commentary by NM James Canty III.
Format
- Participants will play the endgame positions in challenge mode and set their best records in each of the 29 endgame challenges found on our Endgames page;
- Players with the top three records from each challenge will win;
- For this edition of Chess Played Quick, players will not be divided into open and U2000 sections.
Prizes And Bounties
The top three players in each endgame challenge will receive the prizes listed below. Participants do not have to send in clips for this edition of CPQ, as we will be looking exclusively at participants' records to determine the winners.
- 1st: $150
- 2nd: $100
- 3rd: $50
- Most challenges completed: $1300
Schedule
The event starts on February 18, at 9 a.m. PST/18:00 CET. Streamers will have two hours to set their best score in the challenges they want to compete in.
Rules And Signup
- Chess.com staff will check for players' records to determine the winners;
- Only one player can participate per stream;
- Players must fill out the event's official application form if they wish to participate. Please note that applications close 48 hours before the event;
- Players must stream their participation during the event;
- Players must connect their streaming account to Chess.com.
