The Play-in phase of the Chess.com Global Championship is over! From now on, only players who qualified and have not been eliminated can play in the CGC.


Qualifier Events (Over)

The last qualifier event happened on Sunday, July 31. Only untitled players who advanced through the qualifiers and verified titled players could participate in the Play-ins of the CGC. 

Play-In Events (Over)

The last Play-in event happened on Friday, August 5. Players who qualified from the Play-ins now proceed to the Knockout phase.

Event Information

The 2022 Chess.com Global Championship is the first elite worldwide event open to anyone who wants to participate. With $1,000,000 in prizes, this is also the largest even in Chess.com's history.

The event consists of the Open Qualifiers, the Play-in phase, the CGC Knockouts, and the CGC Finals.
