Encountering the Center Counter

Vishy Anand of India is now the highest rated chess player in the world.  When he encountered the Center  Counter or Scandanavian Defense (1.e4 d5), he was able to trap a piece and attack the enemy king caught in the center of the board.  He made it look easy against one of the strongest chess players in the world, grandmasterJoel Lautier of France.  A reminder: click on "move list" to see the annotations.  You can click on the moves and replay them on the diagram.
