Today I am going to continue with examples on what to do when you have a time advantage. Continúo hoy con más ejemplos sobre qué hacer cuando tienes una ventaja de tiempo.

In the following example, Korchnoi exchanges his material advantage (which he is about to lose) for a time advantage in the endgame. En el siguiente ejemplo, Korchnoi entrega su ventaja de material (que iba perder do todas maneras) por una ventaja de tiempo en un final.

Your object of attack can be many things. In this next game, Black ends up attacking the center and then White’s interior center. In the next two examples, White’s time advantage gives him a redonkulous initiative. The real artistry is not finding the tactics during the end of the game which is no doubt commendable, it’s playing the move 12 a4!! Look at Joaquin Phoenix’s reaction to the game when he played over it. A little bit over the top to be honest but it was a nice game. Tal ofrece un mero peón y Uhlmann se come el veneno.
