Scholarships at US G/60 and US G/30 National Chess Championships

The North American Chess Association (NACA) is proud to announce that the Susan Polgar Institute for Chess Excellence (SPICE) at Texas Tech University (TTU) has offered 2 undergraduate scholarships as special prizes at the 2009 US G/60 and US G/30 National Chess Championships.

Each tournament will showcase 1 of the scholarships as the prize for the top youth player under the age of 22. The scholarships are valued at $36,000 each.

The US G/60 and US G/30 National Chess Championships will be held August 22-23, 2009 at the Holiday Inn North Shore Hotel in Skokie, IL. These events are sanctioned national championships by the United States Chess Federation (USCF).
