Here is a game from the 2008 SPICE Cup, GM Kaidanov - GM Stefansson with full annotations and commentary:
In this game we saw white go ahead an exchange for a pawn and the game entered into a technical phase where white had to execute the winning advantage to claim a win in the game. One of the most underestimated phases of the chess game is the "winning technique" where you must prove your advantage and show how and why it is a winning advantage. White did this perfectly in this game by showing patience and taking advantage of some slight inaccuracies by the opponent which allowed him to secure the full point.
