I thought our first chess club night tonight went pretty well. I think nine people played at least one game. Only George got messed around by chess.com not letting him join the tournament. Or at least not so he could play a game in the tournament. Here are some ideas for next week:

Play a swiss tournament rather than this arena format (although as I said, I do like the fact that arena allows you to dip in and out)
Play a blitz tournament instead of G15|10
Challenge other club members to a slow time limit game instead of setting up a tournament
Start some correspondence chess games (called 'daily chess' on chess.com) between club members.
Challenge another chess club to a correspondence match
Anything else?
