68 years old man...learned to play when I was about 10...family games.  Probably only played a few dozen games for 50 years.  Did not realize how poorly I understood until chess.com January 2022.  Still don't play often but have been studying...books, chess.com lessons, youtube, etc.  I find I enjoy studying more than playing.  Pretty gutless. 

Best thing I've found for my limited understanding is youtube "chessbrah extra"  GM Aman Hambleton "building habits" playlist.  Finally an "aha!" moment.  Good Stuff.
