Importance of Chess

Pupil in the test school (where the chess classes included as Extra-curricular activity)

demonstrated a significant improvement in perception and concentration. These results were most visible in first and second year pupils

A significant increase in intelligence was evident in second year children attending the test school
Notably higher levels of achievement motivation and social competencies were evident in year 3 and 4 pupils
Phenomenal results were recorded in a research done by German school testing programme ~ VERA Test - Where the child's speech and reading comprehension, as well as mathematical talents were improved drastically (This is evident and can be noticeably checked with whichever school included Chess classes in their Curriculum)

Management Plan

Lesson topics are often pre-determined and may include,

Basics for the entry-level and / or beginners

Game analysis, instruction on a specific topic, repertoire-building and training for improving chess skills for the mid to advance-level students

The best way to learn is from mistakes. Hence, I decide what to teach based on students' recent games (notation for the mid to entry level will happen religiously and games will be analyzed individually and among the peers)

When analyzing students’ games, I pinpoint reoccurring mistakes and instruct based on what I believe is best for the student.

I create a well-balanced lesson plan for regular students and help them improve all aspects of their game. I will teach the way the student wants to be taught … !!!

Points to Ponder

We primary teach group lessons and organize events such as Chess Camps and have plans of conducting tournaments between the schools in our area

Chess Prodigy Program:

Recently, we launched the Chess Prodigy Program (say for example, if some of the parents noted that their kids are good even from the first-touch of chess board; then we have special classes to improve them, based on their grasp and grip on the game )
