I have decided not to upload my last game, to save myself embarrassment! There is no need to analyse it I know where it went wrong, and what the problems where, so the is no need to asses it further. Just put that one in the bin and move on lol. In short, I forgot I was playing a match on the day, and didnt get time to do my usual pre game preps, and in the end, lost to someone gradeed 95....ouch.

This game however, is another story. Played against David Reeves of Westminster chess club. Its been a busy week, and I havent had much time to dedicate to my game this week, but I feel as if I still played reasonably well here. The game neded in a draw, though there may have been possibilities for me to win, after last weeks terrible loss, I didnt want to risk losing the game. I was behind a pawn in material, and though my position was good, I didnt see an easy check mate for me, and would have just been chasing the king until a mistake was made, either by me or by David. When the draw was offered, I took a couple of minutes contemplating whether it would be the best decision for me. After some though, I asked Dave what his grade was, and he replied "128", I thought Id be happy with a draw at that level, take it. There wasn't much time left on either of our clocks, I didnt want to go to adjournment, so the draw was my best option. A good game, some errors, as there always is, other wise I'd be chess champion.

According to the engine, I played a better game, but was it was close the whole game through. When the draw was offered, my opponent was ahead, so I feel I made the right decision all round here, and more than happy with last nights result.
