Miguel de Cervantes was born in 1547 in a City East of Madrid. He is often seen as the author of the first modern novel, Don Quijote (Quixote in old Spanish ) . Cervantes had a life in many ways similar to Don Quijote, they were both Hidalgos a lower kind of nobleman and they both spent some time I prison and wanted an office in the new world but was denied that. Cervantes died on April 23 1616 and we celebrate his memory with two matches.
