The start date is the 10th anniversary of the passing of actress Gloria Stuart, who achieved global fame and reverence in the role of old Rose in Titanic 1997, for which she received an Oscar nomination playing a centenarian, and then she went on to achieve the century herself, passing in 2010. Born in Santa Monica, California and attending the university at Berkeley, she was spotted performing locally and both Universal and Paramount competed to contract her and she signed for the former and made a name in films up to WW2. In 1945 she retired from acting and became a significant artist with many of her works being sought by collectors and in collections around the USA and world. She returned to acting in the 70s and took part in many film and TV productions until cast as above, which brought her fame aplenty.
