Today is the 30th anniversary of the release of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves starring Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Alan Rickman as a memorable Sheriff of Nottingham, who won the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor. The great theme song `Everything I do (II do it for you) by Bryan Adams was nominated for an Oscar, but it did win a Grammy, and the score by Michael Kramen was also praised with nominations. The well-known story is of Robin of Locksley returning from the Crusades and his adventures in Sherwood Forest as he becomes an outlaw fighting against Prince John supporters who have usurped the throne of King Richard the Lionheart whilst he is away.
