In chess there is no such thing a game that doesn't matter. Every game has something to teach us and we learn something new every time we set up the pieces. We may not be able to see what the lesson is until the game is over. And sadly, the only way to learn sometimes is by loss. That's why chess players, while they don't like losing, find and reveal a weakness with every loss. If they allow themselves to learn from it will find that in future that lesson will lead to game that can be won!
Good luck and good game!
